Meet The Team

Mindi Hinton

Admissions Coordinator

Mindi Hinton brings over 11 years of experience in substance use and mental health
treatment, supported by a Bachelor of Applied Science in Healthcare Management and
Supervision. Throughout her career, she has held key roles including Intake Coordinator,
Billing & Collections Supervisor for multiple treatment centers, and Supervisor of Billing
& Collections for a laboratory. She has also worked directly with individuals seeking care,
guiding them through the admissions process with empathy, professionalism, and a strong
understanding of their needs. Her integrity and compassion make her a valued member of
the team here at The Living Room.

Prior to transitioning into the behavioral health field, Mindi spent 27 years in cosmetology.
After a life-changing cancer diagnosis, she made the decision to return to college and
pursue a new path dedicated to helping others.

Mindi has also navigated her own mental health challenges, including depression and
anxiety from a young age. Raised in an environment where mental health was often viewed
through a “mind over matter” lens, she did not initially receive the support she needed,
which contributed to a period of substance use. With proper diagnosis and treatment, she
has since achieved a stable, healthy, and fulfilling life.

Committed to ongoing personal growth, Mindi incorporates practices such as yoga and
meditation into her daily routine. She brings both professional expertise and lived
experience to her work, offering genuine empathy, insight, and support to those beginning
their recovery journey
