Meet The Team

Matt Wickman
CounselorMatt is a Licensed Social Worker in New Jersey and a graduate of Rutgers University, where he earned his Master’s in Social Work. His professional experience centers around working with both adolescents and adults in a variety of settings, where he provides support through challenges related to emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, and life transitions.
Matt’s approach to therapy is grounded in collaboration, authenticity, and meeting each client where they are. He often thinks of the therapeutic process as a road trip: clients are in the driver’s seat, choosing the destination, the pace, and the route. Along the way, his role is to sit in the passenger seat, offering perspective and guidance. He believes this approach empowers clients while fostering a sense of autonomy and trust within the therapeutic relationship.
At The Living Room, Matt is passionate about creating a space where individuals feel comfortable, understood, and supported in their growth. He regards being part of this team as meaningful because of the shared commitment to compassionate, client-centered care and the emphasis on genuine human connection.
Matt is especially interested in working with teens and young adults, helping them navigate challenges, build resilience, and develop a stronger sense of self. He values authenticity in both his personal and professional life, and strives to bring that to his every interaction to ensure people feel truly seen and heard.
