Meet The Team

Jason Giresi

Assistant Program Manager, Adolescent Services & Academics

Jason Giresi is an Adolescent Program and Education Coordinator here at The Living Room, where he brings both professional expertise and lived experience to his work. Three years as a Special Education teacher supporting students with diverse learning needs meant honing his skills in providing structured, inclusive, and compassionate instruction. His work is firmly grounded in the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, loved, supported, and capable of growth.

Jason holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education (K–6) and is certified as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (K–12). His background in education allows him to create meaningful learning experiences tailored to each individual’s strengths and challenges.

As a former member of The Living Room, Jason has a deep personal connection to the organization’s mission. He credits this place for changing life entirely, saying “it gave me my life back. The program opened my eyes, to experience life in the present moment and to love it as it is. I learned to love all parts of me—the skillful and unskillful—and rediscover the parts of me that have been unloved and locked away.” Jason’s own journey through substance abuse and recovery allows him to bring authenticity, empathy, and an ability to connect with others in a genuine and impactful way.

Prior to his career in education, Jason played college football at Kean University, where he developed a strong foundation in discipline, resilience, and teamwork—qualities that continue to shape his professional and personal approach today.
